Most of the airports in Italy operates 24 hours. The only requirements to land at a civilian airport are to file the flight plan 2 hours prior to your arrival in Italy. But you are landing at a military airfield, prior permission is required, which must be made at least 5 working days in advance.
The two most important airports in Italy are Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport (LIRF/ FCO), being the airport in the capital Rome, and Milan–Malpensa Airport(LIMC/MXP), located in the fashion hub of the world Milan.
