Flight permits are an integral part of your international trip planning. Failure to do so can lead to dangerous scenarios like hefty fees or in worse cases a ban. In Turkmenistan the lead time for landing and overfly permit is very strict. For overfly permit Turkmenistan, the lead time is 72 hours, and the authorities usually deny any request submitted outside the parameters. For technical stop, the landing permits in India can be requested in 24 hours before the departure of the flight. But the lead time would become 72 countries if the flight originated from PRC countries like China, Pakistan, and more.
Short notice permit in India is difficult to get, unless you go through a flight support company. Revisions on permit should be avoided, as the Indian authorities might ask for an earlier arrival or departure.
Charter permits in Italy is a complicated process. The documentation includes a questionnaire, Right of Use of Aircraft statement, which will state if the aircraft is leased, dry leased, owned, or hired. You will also require a letter from the CAA, that states that it complies with security program of ICAO Annex 17.
For Charter permits in France, the lead time is more, as the France CAA is very strict on charter permits. It can take up to 5 working days to get the charter permit in France. Documentation like Italy is complicated. You require a questionnaire, list of insurance limitations and aircraft equipment, and more.
The Russian authorities are stringent when it comes to permit revisions. Lead time for both private charter (non-scheduled commercial) and non-revenue flights is up to five working days. Without proper documentation the permit will be denied. Permit validity is not flexible as there can be issues to arrive or depart later than planned. Even if your arrival or departure is changed by a margin of 10-15 minutes you need a permit revision for it.
