The European Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (EBACE) is a major event and an annual gathering place for the European business aviation sector. This significant media event brings together business executives, government authorities, manufacturers, corporate aviation department workers, and virtually everyone else involved in business aviation.
Following two canceled shows due to the COVID pandemic, EBACE was back this year. iJET Flight support is resuming its usual high-profile presence and was honored to be there and see the industry come out stronger.
This year, iJET’s CEO – Dr. Adnan Baranbo, CCO – Ben Ali, and finance manager – Saleh Al-Takriti were at EBACE 2022 in booth F56 to meet with our partners, business leaders, and entrepreneurs to talk about the future of aviation and to discuss industry update.
There’s no denying that changes in sustainability, new technology, and changing laws will redefine the aviation sector, and a session at the 2022 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2022) looked at what the industry might look like in the future.
The 2022 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2022) wrapped off today as one of the most important and transformative events in the industry’s history. EBACE2022 was redesigned in a variety of ways, with numerous never-before-seen aspects that represented the industry’s dedication to innovation, sustainability, inclusion, and excellence.
While the Covid-19 pandemic rendered EBACE unsustainable for the past two years, it returned in 2022 with a strong commitment to sustainability in the sense of environmental protection. Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) was a phrase on many lips at EBACE as carbon offsets, aerodynamic developments, and electric power versus hydrogen fuel. Some exhibitors built their booths out of recyclable materials or just decorated them with potted green plants.
Aviation Offers Many Possibilities
According to panelists at EBACE 2022 careers in business aviation had a lot to offer young individuals interested in an existing challenging and versatile career. Students had the opportunity to hear from industry professionals, met in small groups for guidance on CV writing, interviewing, networking, and explore the exhibition floor at the event, which took place on the last day of the show.
The latest business aircraft on display at EBACE 2022
Business aviation was on the show for the first time in more than two years at Europe’s largest industry event: the 2022 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2022). This year, almost 50 aircraft, ranging from intercontinental business jets to smaller turbine-powered aircraft, were on show.

During EBACE2022, Bombardier announced their new long-range flagship Global 8000, which is the world’s fastest and longest-range purpose-built business aircraft.
The Global 8000 will be the world’s fastest and longest-range business jet, with a range of 8,000 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.94. During flight testing, it achieved a new supersonic record for a business jet of Mach 1.015.
Several new aircraft, including the Gulfstream G700 and the Dassault Falcon 6X, had their global premieres at EBACE2022.
It has active sidestick control on both sides (when one pilot moves the sidestick, the other feels the same movement for safety), as well as touch screens on the top and side panels. At a maximum Mach speed of 0.925, the G700 has a range of 7,500 nautical miles.
The future of aviation was on show at EBACE; check out PAL-flying V’s automobile, Lilium’s electric airplane with 30 ducted motor fans, Pipistrel’s hybrid plane, and Ehang’s eVTOL.
Some of these idea planes are now undergoing testing with regulators. Lilium has already completed many test flights and is scheduled to enter service in 2025. Ehang has already flown in China and is awaiting EASA/FAA certification. Pipistrel, a hybrid airplane that promises a 70% reduction in operating costs, has the potential to transform the general aviation business.
EBACE2023 will return to Geneva from May 23-25, 2023.
